Publisher: preserve CMYK when doing Print as PDF for digital - Microsoft Community - Consider also: Adobe FrameMaker

Publisher 16 tells me I can save my color files to PDF/A and the colors will convert from RGB to CMYK? How do I accomplish that? If you click Process colors (CMYK), Publisher converts all the RGB colors to process colors and lists cyan, magenta, yellow, and black — CMYK — as the only inks.

I don't think there is any way around it but below is a link to a discussion we had in and a link to the MSFT blog post declaring that Publisher users did not need CMYK anymore. I would suggest that you search for and purchase a copy of Publisher or perhaps I prefer but a Win10 forced patch has recently broken its ability to print and users must convert to a PDF and print it as a workaround.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry, Microsoft. You lose on this one! Regards, Greg. In reply to Gregory Boso's post on October 14, Hello Greg, We appreciate your feedback and to help us to improve our service. Thank you. Jane WM. In reply to Jane WM's post on January 27, I am new at using any Publisher program and have version. I noticed that when I saved the work as a PDF and sent it to someone, when I viewed it on my phone, or their phone, the color was a lot different than my laptop.

In the new Publisher, I found to make sure that windows 10 settings are set to CMYK and I do not seem to have any problems with the colour. You also have your monitor set for CMYK. I'm a press person and the printers use CMYK colour format and we also use the pantone matching system. I do not know about when you are using the portable devices and their settings.

I do think you have to download the CMYK to your portable device. Their make the settings are set correctly on that device. Hope this might be helpful for you. Good luck. In reply to NormanOhrn's post on April 3, I have Publisher Professional Plus. This is my first time using this program or doing any kind of art or publishing with a computer program. I found some color management options in the settings, but only see the RGB and no other options.

I will appreciate any help. Hi there. I am using Outlook version. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
